Batman Begins; Again

I was scouring the interwebs this month for anything Batman related. This comes in light of the new movie. I went into fan boy mode and found some pretty interesting news.

We have all seen the Avengers and heard the rumors about a Justice League movie. Many people have agreed that if DC were to take a crack at the super hero squad, they should follow in Marvel’s foot steps and have the origin stories lead into the Justice League film.

It seems that is exactly what DC will be doing. The only hint of a reboot I could find on the web was from IMDb. According to the site, an untitled Batman Reboot is in motion and will be produced by Warner Bros.

I am both pleased and angry with this announcement. I am pleased to see DC taking the steps to mirror Marvel’s formula to revamp movies. The Green Lantern is a film that so desperately needs a reboot. Just like the Hulk. I wonder if there is a connection with the color green and crappy movies.

As a fan of the Dark Knight trilogy, I am angry that Christian Bale will unlikely return as Batman. Hands down there has never been a better telling of the legend of the bat until Nolan. I feel that it’s going to be really hard to turn the cowl over to someone else, especially when the bar has been raised so high.
